Human emotion is at the centre of my work. My portraits capture tension and beauty at once; my abstract pieces open up space for your own personal interpretation.

Contact form & "Price on request" inquiry
When you use the contact form or a shop inquiry, we process the data you enter (name, email address, optional subject, message) solely to answer your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).
The data is sent via an encrypted connection (SMTP/STARTTLS) directly as an email to our inbox and is stored there only as long as necessary for processing. No storage in a database takes place.
Artwork database (Supabase)
Titles, categories, prices, dimensions and image URLs of the artworks shown are managed via the Supabase service. No personal visitor data is stored there — the database contains only information about the artworks themselves.
Visitor counter
Each page view stores an anonymous timestamp via the Supabase service, used to determine the total number of page views. No IP address, cookies or other personal data are stored — only a point in time. This data is only visible to us (the site operator) through a password-protected access. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in statistical analysis of website usage).
Payment via PayPal
In the shop you can pay for artworks directly online via PayPal (e.g. PayPal balance, credit card, SEPA direct debit). The PayPal payment window is only loaded once you click "Buy" — not already when you visit the page. Your order data is then transmitted to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and PayPal may set cookies (e.g. for payment processing and fraud prevention). For credit card and SEPA direct debit payments, PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check; the result is used by PayPal to decide whether to offer that payment method (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, PayPal's legitimate interest). Google Fonts
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and from cdnfonts.com externally. When the page loads, your IP address is transmitted to these providers so that the font can be delivered. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent visual presentation of the website).
Instagram Widget (SnapWidget)
On the homepage we embed a widget provided by SnapWidget (Sound Media LLC), which displays recent posts from our Instagram account (@artstudio_cortez). When the page loads, a connection is automatically made to SnapWidget's servers and your IP address is transmitted; SnapWidget may also set cookies. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (interest in an appealing presentation of current posts). More information in SnapWidget's privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21 GDPR) to the processing of your data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
Data retention
Personal data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, and at the latest once statutory retention periods have expired (e.g. under commercial or tax law).
